Because the right support can make a world of difference.

Newborn Nirvana, LLC

Hey There, I’m Stephanie Welcome to Newborn Nirvana.

Stephanie Orloff

Hi, I’m Stephanie Orloff, RN, FNP, IBCLC.

After years of supporting mothers and babies, I saw something missing in postpartum care.

Mothers were receiving fragmented support while navigating one of the most physically and emotionally demanding transitions of their lives.

Too often, women were expected to “figure it out” while exhausted, overwhelmed, and caring for a newborn.

I created Newborn Nirvana to provide a more supportive and connected experience. One that blends clinical expertise, compassionate guidance, and personalized coaching to help mothers feel confident and cared for during the transition into parenthood.

My approach combines evidence-based lactation care, postpartum wellness support, and nurse coaching to help families feel less overwhelmed and more supported in the early months of parenting.

You do not have to navigate this season alone.

A Holistic Approach to Postpartum Care

A holistic approach supports recovery and overall wellness by focusing on the foundational areas that are essential to a new parent’s well-being: sleep and relaxation, movement and exercise, nutrition, stress management, and healthy relationships.

Sleep and Relaxation: Adequate rest is essential for healing and mental well-being, especially in the early post partum period. A holistic approach emphasizes the importance of sleep and relaxation by recommending strategies to improve sleep quality, such as establishing a restful bedtime routine, managing nighttime feedings, and incorporating relaxation techniques like deep breathing and meditation.

Exercise and Movement: Gentle, intentional movement is crucial for physical recovery after childbirth. A holistic approach encourages movement that helps restore strength, improve circulation, and support overall vitality. Activities like walking, postpartum yoga, and pelvic floor exercises are often recommended to promote healing and enhance energy levels.

Nutrition: Proper nutrition is a key foundation of postpartum recovery. Individualized nutritional support and nutrient-dense foods can promote healing, restore energy, and support lactation. Emphasizing whole foods, hydration, and targeted supplementation helps new mothers replenish and nourish their bodies during the postpartum transition.

Stress Management: The postpartum period can bring significant emotional and mental challenges, making stress management an important part of a mother’s healing and overall well-being. Practices such as mindfulness, breathing techniques, and practical time-management strategies can help new mothers reduce stress, ease anxiety, and create a greater sense of calm and balance during the transition into parenthood.

Stress Management: The postpartum period can be emotionally challenging, and stress management is a key aspect of functional medicine. Techniques such as mindfulness, breathing exercises, and time management strategies are used to help new mothers cope with stress, reduce anxiety, and cultivate a sense of calm amidst the demands of motherhood.

Relationships: Strong, supportive relationships are vital during the postpartum period. A holistic approach recognizes the importance of social support in recovery and well-being. It encourages new mothers to build and maintain healthy connections with partners, family, friends, and support groups, fostering a network of care that enhances emotional resilience and overall health.

“Stephanie is so kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. I was fortunate enough to find Stephanie early on in my journey as a new mother and benefited from one on one care, as well as participation in her support groups. For me, there was a decent incline in learning how to nurse and care for a newborn (have you heard of a burger boob?). She not only guided me through the lactation piece with patience, but she also provided support and flexibility for my needs juggling everything else that came along with the journey of having a baby. Stephanie quickly became part of my tribe and I’m so grateful that she does this work empowering lactating adults and supporting sweet babies.”

“I breastfed both of my children and although it was an invaluable experience, it was also challenging. With my first (daughter), had latch issues and needed a lot of breastfeeding support. I learned so much about breastfeeding my daughter and thought it would be easier breastfeeding my second child. My second child (son) was 9 lbs at delivery and again had latching issues. My gained confidence from my first child soon disappeared within the first few days of my son’s life. I knew I would need additional support with my son’s latch and help with my milk supply. Luckily for myself and my son, I was able to work with Stephanie. She gave me all the tools and support needed to successfully breastfeed as well as offered adequate advice to manage my milk supply for my hungry baby. With her knowledge, support, and patience I was able to successfully breastfeed my son for over 2 years. I would recommend Stephanie to any breastfeeding mom who needs support, advice and encouragement with breastfeeding. ”

“The newborn phase can be terrifying, and Stephanie brought me so much peace and comfort as I navigated breastfeeding. My son was born early and needed to gain weight. I was so scared I was doing everything wrong, but her calm and positive demeanor got me through some dark days. She coached and motivated me as my son gained weight and I got a handle of different positions that were comfortable for me. My son is now 9 years old and I still think of Stephanie fondly and grateful for her expertise. ”
